Dimagi to Host Workshop on Mobile Apps for Women’s Empowerment and Safety in New Delhi
Dimagi is hosting a three day workshop on designing mobile apps for frontline service delivery in women’s empowerment and safety on October 6th, 7th and 8th. This USAID-funded event will bring together prominent organisations running frontline service delivery programs that target women’s empowerment, safety, and reduce gender-based violence.
At this workshop, Dimagi will present its suite of open source mobile tools and demonstrate examples of mobile apps in this sector. Participants will brainstorm opportunities to strengthen their programs through mobile technology. This workshop forms part of the USAID Mobilise! project, which is a USAID-funded initiative to promote innovation in mobile technology to prevent and fight gender-based violence in India. On the final optional day of the workshop, October 8th, interested organizations will receive a hands-on introduction to building their own mobile apps on our CommCare platform, so that they can start developing mobile apps to strengthen their own frontline programs themselves.
