Dimagi Makes 2019 Best for the World List

We are honored to share that B Corporation recognized Dimagi on its 2019 Best For the World List in two categories: Customers and Governance.

According to B Corporation, the Best For The World List is based on “a company’s environmental performance, employee relationships, diversity, involvement in the local community, the impact a company’s product or service has on those it serves, and more.” Honorees featured on the Best For the World List scored in the top 10th percentile of all Certified B Corporations in the respective impact area on the B Impact Assessment.

For the second year in a row, Dimagi was awarded for both our dedication to supporting underserved populations and promoting public benefit, as well as our impact-driven and transparent organizational structure. Prior to 2018, Dimagi was previously honored in 2016 in the customer category, and this is our second time receiving the honor for our governance structure.

When Massachusetts became the eleventh state to pass the statute allowing benefit corporations in December of 2012, Dimagi was among the first companies to sign up, filing for benefit corporation status just hours after the law went into effect.

Dimagi COO Carter Powers explains that this represents how focused the company is on the impact of its work:

“We have been working toward the goal of supporting underserved populations around the world since Dimagi’s genesis, and we were proud to become a certified B Corp and an incorporated benefit corporation along the way. For us to now be considered among the top 10% of all B Corporations is certainly an honor, but it is also an encouraging indication that we are living our mission – one we look forward to continuing in the years to come.”
