How do I subscribe to a paid CommCare plan?

Log into CommCareHQ and go to the project space you want to subscribe to a paid software plan. Click the settings wheel at the top right of the page, then click "Current Subscription.” Click the blue "Change Plan" button and select and confirm your plan. Your project will be subscribed to that plan immediately, and you will receive an invoice at the end of the month (pro-rated from the time you were subscribed on that plan during that month).

How many mobile users will I have on my software plan?

Each plan comes with a number of mobile users free of charge. This number represents all mobile users that are not currently deactivated. Both active and inactive mobile workers are counted. If you exceed the number of mobile users included for free in your plan, you will be charged $2/month.

Who will my invoice be sent to?

Please note that your invoice will be sent to your billing contact. To make sure the billing contact information is accurate, visit your Project Settings > Billing Information page. If there is not a billing contact listed, invoices will by default be sent to the web admin users on the project.

Can I pause my CommCare subscription?

Yes! You can pause your subscription at any time. Pausing a subscription stops billing and removes access to the Applications, Reports, Data, and Messaging sections of CommCareHQ. Note that your pause will only go into effect at the end of your current payment period. Paused subscriptions can be re-upgraded to a paid subscription plan at any time.

Can I access data I’ve collected in CommCare after pausing my subscription?

After pausing your subscription, you will not have access to the data in your CommCare project space. Your data, however, is securely saved and immediately available anytime you re-upgrade to a paid subscription. If you need to work with data during the time you’ve paused your subscription, we recommend exporting your data and saving it externally before pausing your plan.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my subscription plan?

You can upgrade or downgrade to other paid software plans at any time. Paid plans, however, cannot be downgraded to CommCare’s Community plan—please see Can I pause my CommCare subscription? for more information.

Will I be notified before my subscription ends?

Yes, before your subscription’s end date we’ll send reminders to your email address. You’ll also see notifications in your CommCare project space.

What payments are accepted?

Invoices can be paid via credit card, Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT), or check.

How will I be charged for SMS fees?

Dimagi charges incoming and outgoing messages on a per-message fee for both Dimagi's gateway and your own Android gateways. Learn more about SMS pricing here.

Will I be charged based on how much data I collect via my CommCare app?

No, all CommCare plans come with unlimited data storage on our secure cloud server.

Does Dimagi offer pro-bono CommCare plans?

Dimagi offers pro-bono software plans or features on a need-only basis. Pro bono applications are usually granted to small organizations who want to do a small or pilot project and who have thoroughly considered their feature needs. You can apply for a pro-bono plan by filling out this application.
