About the Position

Dimagi is looking for a Senior Project Analyst (SPA) to join our India Division.  This position will be affiliated with our office in Delhi and is also open to remote employment depending on the COVID-19 situation in the country. 

The SPA is a key member of the India Divisions Delivery Team - directly supporting our project teams in creating high-impact, reliable, user-friendly digital systems for Dimagi’s public health partners. In this role, you will support a project team working on the optimal design and development of applications built on Dimagi’s flagship platform CommCare - including design, testing, implementation, and monitoring. 

The SPA supports one or more project teams across a wide range of activities, including product/requirement management, documentation, quality assurance and testing, performance monitoring, user acceptance testing, and project space maintenance. The SPA will work closely with the overall project lead(s) to determine work day-to-day, and will be a key contributor to process improvements. SPA is a junior position with potential for growth into project management. 

You will be working in an agile environment alongside a dynamic, multi-skilled team of developers, engineers, public health, and project management specialists. 

Responsibilities:

The specific responsibilities of a Senior Project Analyst can vary per project but are likely to include:

Requirements Gathering:

  • Work closely with Project Managers / Project Lead(s) to define requirements by refining business requirements and translating them into technical requirements with adequate backstopping.  
  • Support the project/requirements lead and other team members in recording, clarifying, and clearly outlining key product requirements
  • Attend client meetings with key stakeholders to refine requirements and facilitate product discovery conversations
  • Create additional process/workflow maps or other reference documents to clarify product behavior and facilitate clear understanding of business requirements
  • Maintain sprint boards and facilitate team adherence to sprint processes, as needed
  • Advocate for the optimal end user experience. 

Application Development:

  • Building mHealth and eHealth systems using Dimagi’s flagship mHealth platform, CommCare, using CommCare’s application building tools that do not require coding.
  • Using user centric design principles to build Integrated Chatbot User Experience 

Stakeholder management: 

  • Support partner relationships, including navigating a diverse ecosystem of stakeholders from government officials to subject matter experts to NGO staff to frontline health workers and community members. Building consensus, managing expectations, and coordinating with these groups
  • Update client-facing or internal technical documentation as product features are implemented
  • Able to define and adhere to agreed timelines and communicate effectively internally and externally in case of any roadblocks

Product documentation:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of functional and technical documentation
  • Update client-facing or internal technical documentation as product features are implemented
  • As appropriate, create new resources to support users’ understanding of the application or related systems
  • Create and maintain templates for regular recurring processes

Implementation Support:

  • Support client and internal teams in understanding how to effectively use the CommCare system
  • As required, lead clients through capacity building activities. 
  • Support development of a capacity building and/or training curriculum
  • Coordinate with Dimagi’s support team around issue identification and bug management

Quality Assurance and Testing:

    • Manage product quality throughout the software development life cycle.
    • Define robust acceptance criteria for each requirement. 
    • Develop and execute unit test plans for requirements. 
    • Regularly monitor and report on system performance.

Process Improvement:

  • Working with the project team in developing robust processes to enable a culture of continuous improvement  
  • As relevant, independently drive strategic initiatives to improve components of a project.

Relevant Skills & Experience

  • 5+  years of experience in project coordination or project implementation/execution
  • Experience working on software projects, including familiarity with the software development lifecycle and quality assurance
  • Experience working in and coordinating with dynamic teams
  • Demonstrated expertise in collecting and managing requirements from different stakeholders and delivering against those
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated reliability, ability to predict timelines and effort for tasks
  • Ability to balance multiple completing tasks across multiple projects
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Interest in making a social impact
  • Eligible to work in India 
  • Flexible to travel for project related field work
  • (Bonus) Demonstrated ability and excitement to engage with a variety of clients, especially government stakeholders
  • (Bonus) Experience working in the India public health or healthcare space
  • (Bonus) Experience delivering technology to support healthcare or health service delivery.
  • (Bonus) Product management experience
  • (Bonus) Experience in delivering enterprise software implementations
  • (Bonus) Experience with systems integration and/or database management
  • (Bonus) Experience with system and scenario flow diagrams, functional user assessments and testing, architecture and content structure, and technical specifications
  • (Bonus) Experience in relevant software, including data visualization and analysis software (Tableau, SAS, R, etc.) 
    • (Bonus) Experience delivering enterprise software systems and/or working within project management for software developers

Compensation and Benefits: 

We aim to make a difference, not just as a company but also as an employer. We are transparent about salaries at all levels of the organization and have a standard, global pay scale for all positions that is non-negotiable. The salary for this position is  INR 18,22,733 annually.
