About the position:

Africa HR Solutions is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to represent Dimagi's New Business team. This position is open to remote employment for a candidate based in Africa.

Dimagi's mission is to create digital products that support global development efforts including strengthening community health programs, electronic medical records, care coordination, agricultural extension programs, and in remote data collection. CommCare, Dimagi's mobile data collection platform, is designed to improve data collection and the quality of frontline services in low-resource settings around the world. FocusMDM, Dimagi's mobile device management tool, is designed to create efficiencies at the frontlines.

The Technical Sales Manager will lead the sales strategy and execution for Dimagi's FocusMDM product. This position will focus on growing Dimagi's self-service user base and FocusMDM revenue through the exciting growth stage of getting from 10 to 1,000 customers.

The FocusMDM product is about 2.5 years, and enables Dimagi’s clients to remotely monitor, secure, and manage their field devices, mobile phones, and tablets. This product includes both a web app and an Android app. This position will be responsible for conducting competitor analysis, discovering new features, supporting clients and customer success, and addressing client/product issues. You should be enthusiastic about business and product development. You will also work closely with Dimagi's development team to enable sustained and rapid growth.  

Responsibilities of this role:

  • Own tactical execution of the Focus sales roadmap & pipeline
  • Strategically prospect and build client relationships demonstrating strong product knowledge 
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly revenue objectives while maintaining activity metrics and a good follow-up of the sales process
  • Proactively identify upselling or account expansion opportunities
  • Support team members with the development of sales forecasts and identify ways to improve the sales process
  • Perform customer segmentation and competitive landscape analysis to determine new positioning and strategy
  • Collaborate with tech team to plan, market, and launch new product features globally
  • Work directly with New Business Senior Director on a weekly basis to help set and analyze sales strategy
  • Serve as SPOC for client requests and internal Dimagi team requests for Focus sales
  • Travel as needed (only once safe) to engage with customers in Dimagi’s field offices (US, India, South Africa, and Senegal).

Requirements::

  • 3-5 years of sales experience preferably in B2B and/or SaaS platform products
  • Outstanding communication and listening skills. An active listener
  • Experience managing customer funnels and segmentation
  • Experience building Sales and Marketing strategy to grow revenue
  • A strong ability to persuade and tailor your messaging depending on the audience
  • Comfortable with data analysis and reporting skills
  • Rigorous, strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow and improve processes
  • Proven ability to grow and retain a user base
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Professional fluency in English

Nice to haves:

  • Full-cycle closing experience in a SaaS / B2B tech environment
  • Proficiency using CRM systems, such as Salesforce
  • Experience in the international development health sector
  • Desire to make a social impact
  • Experience in user experience and market research, competitor analysis, design prototyping, and rapid-testing methods
  • Strong design sense and experience working with developers
  • Fluency in French, Spanish, or additional languages

Compensation:

Compensation will be competitive with local rates and paid in local currency. The selected candidate will be reimbursed for any travel or business related expenses.
