Who You Are

We are looking for an experienced and passionate individual to lead our Solutions department and drive the technology used by our large client-services team on Dimagi’s most innovative and cutting edge projects.  You will play a cross-cutting role between product management and service delivery, directing our technology team to adapt our product (CommCare) to understand our client-service team’s needs and building best practices and policies to help our client services team utilize our product.  

Our client services team utilizes CommCare to support clients in diverse sectors, from agriculture to maternal health to social entrepreneurship.  You will be responsible for building the efficiency and technical capacity of the client services team and improving the overall solution they develop for clients.  In this role you will manage our team of application engineers and define their priorities and strategy to build capacity across the company.

As a product manager, you’ll be also be responsible for the features, user experience and support tail for customers who use our product through our client services team.   You’ll be responsible for defining and driving the metrics and targets for your product segment. You’ll work closely with our team of designers, engineers and other product managers and interact with real customers on our international projects.  

Responsibilities include:

  • Define goals and metrics to understand and improve the performance of the product for our client services segment
  • Own strategy for this product stream and tactical execution of the internal product roadmap, working closely with our company leadership, client services team, technical leads and the design team to ensure efficient execution of feature delivery
  • Manage internal strategy for supporting the technology use by our client service teams.  Establish best practices and direct efforts to improve technical capacity of our services team
  • Drive processes and improvements to support our projects launched through the client services team
  • Manage and mentor our global team of application engineers
  • Backstop the solution design and architecture of Dimagi’s nationally scaling projects
  • Travel as needed to work with internal teams and customers both in the US and internationally in Dimagi’s field offices (India, South Africa, and Senegal).

Skills and Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in a professional technical role (product management, technical project management, or engineering)
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a technical team
  • Aptitude and self-direction to quickly learn new technical systems
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced unstructured environments
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; english fluency
  • Ability to coordinate with teams across multiple geographies
  • Bonus: Experience managing products that have paid onboarding and/or professional services along with the product.
