Dimagineers Speak at Several November, December Conferences

Throughout November and December, a number of Dimagi staff members spoke at various well-known conferences. Below is a roundup of their talks.
- Albert Schweitzer Leadership Conference, November 2 in Boston: CMO Vikram Kumar discussed the motivation behind developing CommCare, and how it’s transforming the way community health programs improve data quality. Check out the abstract of his talk, “Mobile Phones Can Detect the Most Surprising Things.”
- American Public Health Association, November 2-6 in Boston: CEO Jonathan Jackson was part of a panel at this year’s annual APHA meeting entitled “Using Mobile Technologies to Improve Health: Lessons Learned to Date.” Read about Jon’s presentation on mobile health applications for community health workers. - International Conference of Crisis Mappers, November 18-22 in Nairobi, Kenya: South Africa-based Dimagi Field Manager Rosa Akbari was invited as a fellow at this year’s International Conference of Crisis Mappers, the world’s premier humanitarian technology forum.
- mHealth Summit, December 8-11 in Washington DC: CSO Neal Lesh pitched in for Jonathan (who got stuck in a snowstorm) on a panel at this year’s mHealth Summit. Neal shared Dimagi’s experience working to create “good tech” for multiple stakeholders on a panel entitled “Facilitating Cross-Talk: How to Bridge the Interdisciplinary Divides in mHealth Intervention Design.”
